In the Mood for Love...

...is one of my favourite films. The chemistry between Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung is great! I love all Wong Kar-wai's films, but In the Mood for Love is my favourite just because of the cheongsams. The detail he puts into his films are amazing! Everything about In the Mood for Love is just exquisite. Although I love HK fashion, I think that period of style is just beautiful. Even though modern Chinese fashion, and even modern style of life is brilliant, I think that Wong Kar-wai captures the dignity and splendour of that period just magnificently. It's interesting, because just recently I was looking through some pictures of my relatives when they were younger in suits and cheongsams. They look absolutely stunning. I wish that we could still dress like that now, but I suppose part of the beauty of In the Mood for Love is how it captures an era now lost to us so splendidly...
