I just finished Amy Tan's, 'The One Hundred Secret Senses' a few days ago. Firstly, I've never read an Amy Tan book that I haven't liked, and 'The One Hundred Secret Senses' was, as expected, an excellent book. As usual, it was interestingly and descriptively written. I love the way she is always able to write so eloquently about Chinese culture, and it is fascinating to see her character struggle with their Chinese heritage. Although it was not my favourite book, I especially enjoyed the ending and how she fused the parallel storylines together. It is no wonder that so many Chinese Americans identify with her. In conclusion, I recommend this book very highly indeed!
