Researching old Hollywood stars...

...and I found out about this thing they used to do called 'yellowface' and 'blackface.' It is so incredibly racist! What it means is white actors would put on lots and lots of make-up and play Black or Asian people, because at that time there were no famous Non-White actors or actresses who could be famous. The most famous Asian actress during that period was Anna May Wong, but even she was only allowed to play stereotypical 'dragon' or 'butterfly' roles. Even Breakfast at Tiffanys had Michael Rooney playing Mr. Yunioshi was racist, and that was made during the 1960s! Honestly, Breakfast at Tiffanys would be the perfect movie if it didn't have that incredibly racist stereotype in it...
